The Fort Collins community has an amazing opportunity to participate in the Georgetown University Energy Prize competition in 2015. The prize purse is $5 million! The best performing community for energy savings with the most innovative, replicable and scalable solutions will win $5 million for community benefit.

    Over the course of two years, participants will be challenged to rethink their local energy use and implement creative strategies to increase efficiency. To compete for the final $5 million prize, which will be awarded in 2017, residents, students, businesses and utilitieswill have online casino to collaborate to save energy at all levels. Fort Collins is among 52 small- to mid-sized communities advancing to the quarterfinals and is well positioned to discover new ways toward great energy conservation and efficiency.

    Fort Collins already has the spirit of innovation and conservation, but we need your fresh ideas and strategies to achieve our greatest energy savings yet! Please come to one of the dates for a community workshop, hosted by the Institute for the Built Environment and theCity of Fort Collins.
